The Two Doors, Part Two: The Doors Out

In part one, I established a few points critical to remember for this essay concerning the doors into this world. I will briefly recount them here. 1) the Watchers are literal fallen angels who married and procreated with mortal, human women, 2) the union of the Watchers and mortal, human women created a gate through which rebellious souls could enter this world in a joint effort with Lucifer and the Watchers to frustrate God’s work in this world, 3) God appointed a path to enter this world, by receiving the breath of life from Adam, which Adam received from Jehovah, 4) the Watchers were banished to a bottomless pit beneath this world, and the Nephilim were punished to become demonic spirits in this world. I referred to these as the two doors into this world.

Now let’s look at the doors that lead upward.

The Way Up and Out is Jesus Christ

Hear the words of Christ and Peter:

“’Let not your hearts be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.’ Thomas said unto him, ‘Lord, we know now whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?’ Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’” John 14:1-6

“[Jesus Christ] is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12.

Perhaps it is no mistake that Christ described entry into the kingdom of God as passage through a gate. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. Here is the appointed door up and out of this world.

Nephi elaborated on the gate and the path. Nephi explains that the gate is entered not merely by baptism, but by receiving the baptism of fire and the baptism of the Holy Ghost:

“Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost. And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive.” 2 Nephi 31:17-18.

There is only one door up and out of this world. Jesus Christ is the way. And Nephi explains the way through this door in the plainest manner possible. Rather, Nephi’s explanation would be plain to us if we would stop wrestling with his words and substituting his teachings for the opportunistic half-truths pushed by lesser men. Volumes have been written about this. This is all I will say about the door right now. [1]

Ascension by Some Other Means

The wicked ones will not return to the Father by Jesus Christ. They did not enter this world by the path appointed by Jehovah. They seek some other way out and up. Consider Isaiah’s prophecy about Lucifer, the Principalities, and the Watchers:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say: How hath the oppressor ceased, the golden city ceased! The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, the scepters of the rules. He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet; they break forth into singing. Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and also the cedars of Lebanon, saying: Since thou art laid down no feller is come up against us. Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming; it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. And they shall speak and say unto thee: Art though also become weak as we? Art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave; the noise of thy viols is not heard; the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How are thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, sone of the morning! Art though cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” 2 Nephi 24:4-15.[1]

The writers of the Bible did not perceive the space of this world with the modern view. They saw the world more like this:

Heaven was a place that existed physically above this earth, separated by an impenetrable dome, and hell existed physically beneath the surface of the earth. Earth was more a terrarium than a globe to them. Note how Isaiah’s prophecy assumes this structure. In the passage above, Lucifer exists in a space between heaven and hell. He is in here with us. He desires to “ascend above the heights of the clouds” but is ultimately thrust down to hell, to a space beneath the earth where he is met by the Watchers. Here we have a man who desires to penetrate the firmament into heaven and establish his throne there, to “be like the most high.”

This desire to ascend to heaven by some other door than the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the steps taken to so ascend, is the hallmark of antichrist thought and activity in the Bible. In the second part of his series, The Final Nephilm, Ryan Pitterson makes a compelling case that the end-times antichrist is a literal Nephilim. He states, “Just as God, in His infinite wisdom, permits Satan and his fallen angels to still enter Heaven, stand before His throne, and roam through the earthly realm, the Lord also granted the spirit of Antichrist to make appearances throughout human history. In both types and shadows, and in literal incarnations, the Antichrist is foreshadowed throughout the Bible.” The Final Nephilim at 93 (emphasis original).

Pitterson identifies seven incarnations of antichrist in Biblical record, whom he calls “the seven satanic mystery kings”: Nimrod, Pharoah, Nebuchadnezzar, Sennacherib, Antiochus Epiphanes, Emperor Domitian (?), and Gog—the end times antichrist. Further, Pitterson cites, Goliath, Nebuchadnezzar, and Judas as the ultimate types of the antichrist in scripture.[1]

Starting with Nimrod as the first post-flood antichrist, we can see that no time was wasted on Lucifer’s goal of ascending into heaven. The name Nimrod meant “rebellion.” It was Nimrod who was responsible for the construction of the tower of Babel. The Akkadian/Sumerian name for the tower was Babilu or perhaps Babili, which was rendered Bab-El in the Hebrew.[2] This meant, “The Gate of the God(s).” Further, the word “tower” was not used in the original Akkadian/Sumerian. They called it a ziggurat, which in the Assyrian denotes a height or pinnacle. This was a “high” temple that housed the gate of the gods. The Hebrew pronunciation of Babel was also a pun, as the Hebrew word balal meant “to confuse,” as in the languages of the people at the tower of Babel. However, lost in our current understanding of this story is that Nimrod was building a gate to the Gods. God, upon seeing the ongoing construction of Babel, noted: “the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Genesis 11:6. It seems the completion of the Tower of Babel had some very real stakes to it.

Fast forward to Nebuchadnezzar, another antichrist. Nebuchadnezzar reconstructed the tower of Babel in his day. Artifacts dubbed the “Tower of Babel Stele” have been discovered in which Nebuchadnezzar lays out this act of defiance. An image of the tower is captioned thusly: “Etemenanki Zikkurat Babili the house, the foundation of heaven and earth, Ziggurat in Babylon.” The text reads: “Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon am I, in order to complete E-Temen-Anki and E-Ur-Me-Imni-Anki I mobilized all countries everywhere, each and every ruler who had been raised to prominence over all the people of the world, loved by Marduk, from the upper sea to the lower sea, the distant nations, the teeming people of the world, Kings of remote mountains and far-flung-islands, the base I filled in to make a high terrace. I built their structures with bitumen and baked brick throughout. I completed it raising its top to the heaven, making it gleam bright as the sun.”

Alexander the Great also attempted to rebuild the Tower of Babel before the Lord prevented it. More recently, Saddam Hussein, who controlled the territory on which Babylon was originally built, and believed himself to be the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar, attempted to rebuild the tower of Babel. Wicked kings never seem to tire of their quest to build the tower of Babel. Perhaps that is why so many of Iraq’s cultural artifacts were—ahem—”confiscated by US authorities.”

Lucifer is desperately seeking another door into the heavens so he can enter without the grace of Jesus Christ. He has not stopped his attempts to raise his throne above the stars, and we can expect these efforts to reach their culmination in the last days.

An Attempted Jail Break?

Another intended purpose of the Tower of Babel may have to access the Watchers. It may have also been an attempt at breaking the Watchers out of the pit where they were imprisoned. Consider that, as one with Nephilim heritage himself, Nimrod may have been seeking a reunion with his spiritual fathers, his gods.

It is likely that the enduring social phenomenon of jesters and clowns was started and perpetuated as an homage to the Nephilim. This video makes the case and cites to a series of videos from another Christian researcher. Many people who take DMT will go a place they describe as a circus and encounter jester-like trickster entities with whom they have bizarre interactions. I believe these entities may be the Watchers themselves, or some entities aligned with them, such as Nephilim spirits. They are described as existing in a two-dimensional realm of constant chaos. Indeed, this sounds like a place “beneath” this three-dimensional realm we inhabit, a place formless and shaped only by theory.

1 Enoch teaches that the Watchers brought with them advanced technology that they gave to mankind, promethean fire in exchange for their women. See 1 Enoch chapters 7-8. The memories of this period were still preserved in the pagan tales of the golden age of long ago. The wicked pined for the fallen gods and their technology, and they would defy God and seek the shelter of the Watchers to return to what they were promised was a higher state of being. In addition to this, these men were influenced by the demonic spirits of the disembodied Nephilim, who led them in their attempts to free their gods from the pit.

As we will see in part three of this series, it is the fate of this world to have the Watchers return from the pit to dominate mankind in the last days. See Revelation 9. But I also believe that man has been busy at work trying to hasten that day and is still making his attempts in his secret chambers.

There is Only One Way

Jesus Christ has established the gate we should enter to return to the Father. Lucifer wanted God’s throne without doing God’s works. He wanted to enter heaven without relying on the grace of Jesus Christ and the path of grace upon grace until receiving a fullness. He was looking for another door up and out of this world. Be very cautious of anyone who offers you God’s throne without God’s works. This doctrine is at the very heart of what it means to be antichrist. Instead, carefully, and with no preconceptions about what you think you know, study of the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in holy scripture and enter by the one and only true gate and come to the Father through Jesus Christ.
